As an organization, NABIE strives to protect the integrity of the home and building inspection industry, and thus, the general public. We review legislation, examine court cases, and monitor relevant government activities in all states. We interface with affiliated real estate associations and commissions, state engineering boards and other standard setting organizations.

The National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers is a chartered affinity group of the National Society of Professional Engineers. We accept as members only state-licensed professional engineers and registered architects specializing in the practice of building inspections.

We serve the buyers and sellers of real estate, condominium associations, investors, brokers, attorneys, and others.
